Can students request a study room?

Answer

You can reserve a study room in the Shepard Library. Please call the Research and Instructional Services Desk at (919) 530-6473 or stop by the Research and Instructional Services Desk to reserve your study room.

Collaborative rooms that are located at Shepard Library first floor can be reserved by contacting ETAC at 919-530-7676, contact ETC at 919-530-5038, or stopping by the library information desk. Collaboration rooms are available on a first come, first serve basis. Users without reservations must leave when requested by a group with proof of valid reservation (such as email or text message confirmation). Collaboration rooms are to be used for legitimate academic purposes that support the instruction, research, and study needs of the University community. Collaboration Rooms users must maintain a moderate noise level - rooms are not soundproof, and loud talking disturbs other users outside the room. Media volume should be kept low.

We hope you enjoy using study room/collaborative room at Shepard Library!
