I was able to find that NC ranks 38 with a 6.8% unemployment rate statewide and that is as of August 2014. But, the most current rating for African American is as og May 2013 and that statistical put NC 4th in the nation for African American unemployment. That report came from Economic Policy Institute's Program on Race, Ethnicity and tlhe Economy.
